Georgian Trail Pedestrian Bridge
Introduction:
This project will replace Structure 125, a pedestrian bridge on the Georgian Trail just north of Edwin Street, where the trail crosses Meaford Creek. The goal of the project is to improve safety and provide a durable, long-term crossing for trail users.
Project Description:
This project includes:
- Completing a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment including a review of design alternatives
- Removing the existing bridge, if required as part of the final design
- Construction of the preferred solution identified through the Class EA process
- Making trail adjustments and restoring the surrounding area once construction is complete
