Committees & Boards

Page Overview

Council has a number of committees to support its work. Committees exist to obtain public input and give advice to Council based on each committee’s mandate. Council must make the final decision on all issues that affect the Municipality.

In addition to committees, Council members are also appointed to various Boards. Boards are groups of individuals who are elected or appointed to take overall responsibility for the management of an organization. Minutes from board meetings are received by Council for information.

If you would like to get involved with the Municipality, attend a meeting or check for updates on this page from time-to-time for volunteer opportunities on Boards and Committees.

Join a Committee or Board

At the beginning of each Council term (following a municipal election) and as vacancies arise, Council will call for applications to volunteer on Committees and Boards.

There are no vacancies at this time.
