Municipality of Meaford Welcomes Sam Dinsmore as Deputy CAO/Director of Corporate Services

Meaford, ON – The Municipality of Meaford is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Dinsmore as Deputy CAO/Director of Corporate Services/Deputy CAO, effective February 9, 2026.

“We are pleased to welcome Sam to Meaford’s senior leadership team,” said Shawn Everitt, Chief Administrative Officer. “Sam’s extensive experience leading core municipal support functions including finance, technology, and asset management will be invaluable as we continue building an efficient and effective organization. His leadership will also be integral as we implement our new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system later this year, supporting long‑term improvements in service delivery and organizational performance.”

Sam joins the Municipality with nearly 15 years of municipal experience, most recently serving as the Deputy CAO/Director of Corporate Services at Bruce County, where he has worked for the past year and a half. Before that, Sam spent more than 10 years with the Town of The Blue Mountains, where he served as Deputy Treasurer and Acting Director of Finance/Treasurer. He brings a strong background in corporate leadership, strategic financial management, and organizational support services.

Sam holds an accounting background from Georgian College as well as a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership and will oversee several key municipal service areas, including Finance, IT & GIS, Purchasing & Risk Management, and Tangible Capital Assets.

“I am pleased to be joining the Municipality of Meaford and look forward to working with Council, staff and the community. Meaford has a strong reputation for collaboration and service, and I am committed to contributing to that work and supporting Council’s priorities.” said Sam.

The Municipality of Meaford looks forward to welcoming Sam to the organization in February.
