As part of the McCarroll Park Master Plan, this project will enhance the park by adding a new splash pad and relocating the playground to optimize space.
Project Description:
Community Input: Splash Pad Theme
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Splash Pad Theme Survey for McCarroll Park. A total of 978 votes were collected through the online survey and in-person voting at the Meaford Public Library.
Final Results
Nature theme: 622 votes (63.6 percent)
Beach theme: 356 votes (36.4 percent)
The Nature theme received the most community support and will move forward into the project’s detailed design phase.
Project Scope
This project includes:
Moving the existing playground to the west side of the park to create space for the new splash pad
Installing the necessary water, drainage, and utility connections
Designing and building a new splash pad with fun, interactive water features for all ages
Reinstalling the current playground equipment with new engineered wood fibre surfacing
Restoring and landscaping the park area once construction is complete

Traffic Disruptions: No traffic disruptions are anticipated during construction
Noise and Dust:Noise levels may be increased during the removal and disposal of the existing splash pad
The park and splash pad will be closed during construction
