The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has confirmed that the material seen on the water and along the shoreline is pollen. This is a natural and common occurrence at certain times of year, and there is no need for concern. Higher amounts of pollen have been reported across the Great Lakes this year, including some areas of Georgian Bay.
