The Municipality of Meaford is inviting residents to help tell the community’s story as part of the 25th Anniversary of Amalgamation. A short documentary is being produced to reflect on the past 25 years and celebrate the people, places, and communities that make The Municipality of Meaford unique.
Residents, organizations, businesses, and community members from across the communities, hamlets, villages, and rural areas are encouraged to express interest in participating. The documentary will feature local voices through short, professionally filmed interviews and may include footage captured in meaningful community locations.
“This project is an opportunity to hear directly from the people who shape our community every day,” said Jessica Kenyon, Economic Development Coordinator. “We’re looking for a wide range of stories that reflect both personal experiences and the connections that bring our municipality together.”
Participation will involve a brief on‑camera interview, typically 10 to 30 minutes, scheduled at a time and location that is convenient for participants. Selected clips will be featured in a 25th anniversary documentary to be shared publicly as part of the municipality’s celebrations.
The final video will premiere at Meaford Hall this fall and will be shared through municipal channels as a lasting reflection of the community’s shared history and future.
Residents who are interested in participating, or who would like to nominate someone to be featured, are encouraged to submit their interest by July 10, 2026.
