Notice of Tree Maintenance on Georgian Trail

The Municipality of Meaford would like to advise residents of a temporary disruption to the use of the Georgian Trail between Margaret Street and Marshall Street East in Meaford. Tree maintenance will be carried out as part of the cleanup following a recent storm to address damaged trees.

Residents are asked to avoid the work area for their safety while maintenance activities are underway.

Overview

The following activities will occur:

  • Removal of storm-damaged trees along the rail trail

  • Temporary closure of the trail to allow crews to safely complete the work

Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2026
Time: Mid-morning to mid-afternoon
Approximate duration of trail closure: 2 hours
Reason for disruption:Tree maintenance and storm cleanup
