2026 Community Builder Award Presented to Kimberley Rogers

The Municipality of Meaford is proud to announce Kimberley Rogers as the recipient of the 2026 Community Builder Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to community development and engagement in our community.

“Kimberley Rogers truly embodies the spirit of community service,” said Mayor Ross Kentner. “Her leadership, generosity and passion for inclusion have had a lasting impact on our Municipality. She brings people together, supports new ideas and works tirelessly to ensure our community continues to grow in a positive and meaningful way.”

Kimberley Rogers has demonstrated exceptional commitment to building an inclusive and connected Meaford. A founding member and president of Christmas OnThe Bay since its inception, she leads with a focus on inclusion, collaboration and volunteer support, while building strong partnerships that benefit the community. An accomplished grant writer and fundraiser, her efforts have supported initiatives including Christmas OnThe Bay and the Town of Meaford’s 150thAnniversary Celebrations.She continues to share her expertise with community organizations.

Kimberley is also a founding member of Imagine Meaford, a director with the Meaford Chamber of Commerce, and the leading member of The Game Changers, an initiative supporting young entrepreneurs and emerging community leaders. Through kindness, dedication and a strong belief in belonging, she continues to make Meaford a more vibrant and welcoming place.

“I’m deeply honored to be the recipient of the 2026 Community Builder Award,” said Kimberley Rogers. “It is never one individual but a collective effort of those committed to moving people forward, fostering meaningful engagement, and strengthening the fabric of our community. I’m grateful to be part of a shared commitment to building capacity, connection, and lasting impact. It takes a village; challenge yourself to invite others, support your community, make space and time for strangers, be open to removing barriers, and put your hand up!”

The Community Builder Award is presented annually to a local volunteer who has helped shape and promote the community. Nominations are submitted by the public, with the recipient selected by Council and recognized at the Volunteer Appreciation event.

The Municipality of Meaford extends sincere thanks to all who submitted nominations for the 2026 Community Builder Award and congratulates Kimberley Rogers on this well-earned recognition.
