YOUTH PROGRAMS

 

YOUTH HIP HOP 

Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre

RPKHIP     Grades 5 - 8                 $60 for 5 classes

Tuesdays 5pm - 6pm

Session 1: September 26 - October 24  Cancelled due to low registrations

This fun, high-energy workshop will explore freestyle dancing that is strongly musically inspired by today's popular music videos.  Perfect for beginners and experienced dancers alike, you will learn a variety of dynamic dance moves and routines influenced by everything from funk to break-dancing. You will have the opportunity to create your own choreography that expresses your personal style and attitude, all while you make new dance friends!

 

First aid/cpr Course

Attention Students! Need First Aid for a post-secondary program or to enhance a resume?

Standard First Aid CPR-C through the Lifesaving Society. Valid for 3 years.

 

HOME ALONE COURSE

Meaford & District Fire Hall

RPHOME                      ages 10 +

Wednesday January 3 

9am-2pm   Cost $30

The Home Alone program is designed to provicde chidlren 10 years fo age and older with necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.  It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real life situations and keep them safe.  A certificate is provided at the end of the program.

Thursday January 4

9am-4pm   Cost $50

Learn how to care for infants, toddlers, preschool and school aged children.  Keep children safe and have fun!

Please bring a doll and nut free lunch.  Certificate provided at end of program.

 

NOte: GIRLS HOCKEY PROGRAM AND after school hockey have been combined.

CO-ED HOCKEY

Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre Arena

RPGIRL                      Ages 6-11

Monday October 23 2017 starting date 

Cost $150 per child (includes jersey fee)

Space is limited to the first 40 players to register.  Full hockey equipment is required. Team jersey is provided. No travelling required.  Volunteer led program.

Must have basic skating skills (ability to stand & get up)

 

VICTORIA VILLAGE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE

Join us in the Community Kitchen at the Victoria Village Family Resource Centre on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Delicious, nutritious and affordable meals will be made using ingredients that are found in the Good Food Box and participants are encouraged to stay and sit-down to enjoy the meal. All ages are welcome and the cost is pay-what-you-can. Participants can help decide what meals will be made. Please contact jaden.calvert@gmail.com for more information and/or if you are interested

    We have recently had some instance of garbage bag tags being ripped in half, and both halves being placed on two separate garbage bags. Garbage will only be collected if a complete bag tag is present on all waste bags, and by-law enforcement will be contacted if necessary.
