AQUATICS programs

AQUAFIT

$50 for 6 classes

Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Session 1: June 15 - July 20

Session 2: July 27 - August 31

Get a great all-body work-out in the water at Blue Dolphin Pool. A great way to get fit.  A certified WaterART Instructor will lead you in this hour long program each week. All abilities of swimming and fitness levels are welcome.  Email: pool@meaford.ca to register

SWIM CAMPS

Swim Camp 1

Monday July 17 - Friday July 21              $190 week

Children will participate in swimming lessons in the morning, with a combination of other activities in the afternoon.  Note: Full swim lessons are provied, but we do not guarantee passing of the level during the camp.  Full registration is required for swim camps due to the swimming lesson commitments.

Swim Camp 2

Monday August 21 - Friday August 25              $190 week

Children will participate in swimming lessons in the morning, with a combination of other activities in the afternoon.  Note: Full swim lessons are provied, but we do not guarantee passing of the level during the camp.  Full registration is required for swim camps due to the swimming lesson commitments.

Competitive Swim Camp with Cheryl Blay & The Owen Sound Aquatics Club

Monday August 21 - Friday August 25          $100 week(1/2 day camp)

8:45am-11:30am  Ages 8-13

Monday August – Friday August

A half-day camp offering competitive swimming skills & strokes in a fun and friendly atmosphere.  Approximately 1.5 hours water time followed by a short snack time, and remainder dry land activities.  Inclement weather arrangements TBD.  Ages/Abilities: Age 8-13 years old (can swim 25m front crawl, 25m back crawl and some working knowledge of breast stroke).  Group size: Max 12 Contact Cheryl Blay (swim coach with Owen Sound Aquatic Club) 1-705-293-1233 or email: coachblay@gmail.com  Register at pool@meaford.ca or call 519-538-3426.

Jr Lifeguard Camp    Ages 11-14

Monday August 28 - Friday September 1             $200 week

Come and see what being a Lifeguard is all about!  The days will be filled with physical activity, performing real tasks, and daily visits from other emergency service departments.  A camp T-shirt and Friday pizza lunch is provided. 

Lane Swim

A wonderful way to burn calories, build endurance and keep fit in a low-impact way.  Daily Lane Swim times are available throughout the season, with a season pass option to make it very affordable. 

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth Competitive Swim Club

with Cheryl Blay & The Owen Sound Aquatics Club         

Wednesdays 6pm - 7pm        Ages 11-15      $25

June 7 - June 28

An opportunity for youth to see what competitive swimming is all about.  Offered during lane swim on Wednesdays in June for youth (ages 11-15).  Quality coaching offered by Cheryl Blay, NCCP level 2 Swimming.   Limited spaces available.

Private Rentals and Birthday Party packages available

Pool Party  This includes a one-hour private pool party.  Table set up in the spectator area for snacks and drinks (not allowed on pool deck).  Bring some music for us to play over the speakers and have your own beach party!  Number of participants determines cost.  Email pool@meaford.ca for full details

Program Descriptions

Public Swim    

$3.00 / person     Season pass is also available.  All ages come out, splash around and cool down. Enjoy daily afternoon or evening swims this summer.

Lane Swim    

$3.00 / person            Season pass is also available.  Organized lane swimming in which swimmers can get a great aerobic workout in the summer for those looking to improve endurance, strength and swim stroke.

Fitness Swim

$3.00 / person             Season pass is also available.  Pool is split for both aquafit and 2 lanes open.  Organized classes taught by lifeguards for adults of all fitness levels looking for a moderate to high intensity 1 hour workout.  Sessions allow participants to work within their abilities targeting aerobic fitness, strength training, core strength and is a fun way to get active!

    I really think there should be a garbage can at the skateboard park. It is really terrible to see all the litter in the parking lot. I truly think everyone would put their garbage in a can if there was one easily accessible. Just my opinion ! 😉

    Due to my husband working and myself sick no-one will be at Ewaste today, but please drop off what you have bu the GREEN BINS and when my husband is done Work he will clean up thank you sorry for the inconvenience! Working or not. We CANNOT ACCEPT , water coolers anything with freon in it paint ,smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors and stoves sinks fridges as we cannot handle them Thank you!
